The club used to be known as Headless Cross Residents Association (H.C.R.A.) from whom it continues to receive very valuable support, including use of the pitch at Birchfield Road.
The club has been awarded F.A. charter status, which is an award made by the Football Association recognising youth clubs who are able to demonstrate:
· Required standards
· Raising standards
· Reaching excellence
This essentially involves being able to demonstrate that the club has effective policies on the following:
· Management
· Child protection
· Qualified coaches
· Fair play
· Insurance
The club also runs various social events throughout the year, such as a Christmas fun day to which all players and parents will be invited to support as well as selling raffle tickets etc.
The club has a committee, which meets every month, together with representatives from each team in the club. This meeting provides a forum for managers to feedback their team’s progress and discuss other issues affecting the running of the club. The committee members are voted in annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Regular financial reports are also provided to all team managers regarding the finances of the club.
